Trump signed an executive order announcing a state of emergency in 2017, which will temporarily initiate Marshal Law at his command soon?

When temporary Marshal Law is declared by President Trump, it will allow civilians to get arrested without the protection of the constitution, this in turn will allow the Deep State criminal organization, and all who are involved with it, to get arrested and sent to justice. He will go down as the greatest President ever known in USA History. He , of course, will have to step down after Marshal Law is lifted and the USA is running under a Constitutional Republic again. I personally, am willing to give up my freedoms temporarily, in order to clean out the Swamp once and for all.

BS. Every bit of it. Not gonna happen.

Willing to give up your rights, huh? Maybe you’d feel more strongly about holding on to them if you’d served under fire in foreign lands to protect those rights. But you haven‘t. What have you done to deserve those rights, CP? What have YOU ever done for your country?

What’s truly funny above your lemming-like absurdity is you’d really expect those lost rights to be handed right back to you. Yeah, right. Dream on.
What you describe is the cleared path to despotism; but then, how could you, anxious as you are to lay down in front of it, be expected to grasp what’s wrong with it?
    I digress.

As it is, it sickens me to call myself an American if someone who thinks as you apparently do presumes to call themself one. You don’t get it. Bigly.
What the hell did my comrades-in-arms and all the brave men who died in combat, fight for? Clearly nothing that you understand nor personally shed sweat or blood for.

Depending on the reasons behind declaring Martial Law you may also see the following happen:

The suspension of the Constitution, probably starting with the First and Second Amendments. Confiscation of firearms; It's happened before and may happen again. Suspension of Habeas Corpus; Imprisonment without due process and without a trial. Travel restrictions, including road closures and possibly even quarantine zones. Mandatory curfews and mandatory identification. Automatic search and seizures without a warrant and who knows what else.

When Martial Law can be enacted is a pretty touchy subject, largely because our founders never intended the federal government or a standing army be permitted to take such actions. Unfortunately, many or even most people accept these unconstitutional activities and are more than willing to give up their essential liberties in exchange for peace of mind and not having to think for themselves. Several times in the course of our history, martial law of varying degrees have been declared. The most obvious and often-cited example was when President Lincoln declared martial law during the Civil War.

This is something, Benjamin Franklin warned about when he wrote: "Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Our founders were very wary of using the military to enforce public policy, and concerns about this type of abuse date back to, and largely influenced, the creation of the Constitution.

Thing is if Martial Law is ever declared nation-wide, will it be temporary or will it become a permanent part of our landscape and lives? It's something we all need to keep in mind. :)

  • One of the lessons of history is that people are willing to surrender civil liberties in order to maintain order and security. While it is true that no one can have life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness without the rule of law being enforced, there hasn't been any evidence that civil liberties were ever returned to a people after stability was restored. Therein lies the problem.
