I love salmon, but I don't eat it too often as I don't want it to get boring. I guess it's like a special treat to me because it's just too delicious.

That's the way I feel. It's getting boring and back when it was a special treat, I loved it. Now all I feel is yuk, salmon once again. I'd rather not eat.
Never, I don't cook it and can count on my fingers how many times it has been served to me. Never liked the taste. I like milder tasting fish, tillapia, cod, sole. ..
Smoked or tinned/canned often....... I'm not keen on farmed fresh Salmon as its so overpowers the taste of over foods on my plate... Salmon tastes so different if it's caught out in the ocean and not feed on pellets while reared in huge fresh water holding tidal tanks....:(
After about 20 years hiatus from it I had it at my sister's house about four years ago. None since. We had it weekly growing up and my husband loved it and I would make fried croquettes back then. I haven't made them since the 80s. I do not fry anything and haven't for many years. I have ordered salmon in a restaurant one time and did not like it and didn't eat it.
We used to eat salmon about once a month and I liked it. The last few times, however, it tasted a little too strong. In the past year or so I've recruited some friends to pitch in and help pay for a whole fresh grouper which can range from $150 to $200. We just had one tonight, five of us, and it was fantastic - mild, with big juicy white flakes. Some of us Floridians call it white steak. Want to join us? All fish is good for you because of the omega-3 fatty acids.

Not as often as I like. My wife is not a big fan of fish. Thanks for reminding me, though. I have a smoked filet stashed away. I think I'll open it today.
I found a pack of salmon in the freezer that I bought several years ago. It was pretty thoroughly freezer burned, and I don't know how to cook it anyway, so out it went.
