       Of the 62 points in the United States where three and only three states meet (each of which may be associated with its own tri-state area), 34 are on dry land and 28 are in water.

    Yes, I am in the desert where AZ, CA, and MX meet. Los Algodones, MX is called "dental capital of the world". People will buy a passport, fly here, stay in a motel, cross the border to get their teeth fixed, and still get the job done for less than it would cost back home. https://losalgodones.com/

  • Some states share big cities and adjacent suburbs .. since they're all so close together.  That would be like the New York/New Jersey and Connecticut area.  More common on the East Coast.

  • I am not familiar with "Tri-State" areas so probably not. When I lived  on the bay (Bay Area in Cali), I lived within part of the "Tri-City" area.
