I am out of smithereens. Do you have a spare to share with me?

I'm fresh all out. (this comment was for Randy D. to give him something to do this afternoon). I did see some smithereens floating in the air after I popped a balloon.  They are purple, perhaps if some float by you, they will be easy to catch.

The Smithereens. 80s band that produced some hit songs such as 'A Girl Like You' and 'Only a Memory'. Well, I guess The Smithereens will become only a memory since their lead singer is now gone. They had some good guitar there.

I had some smashing ones but they all got broken :(
