Just once but it wasn't because I didn't do my job it was because I caught the nephew of my boss playing with him self in the break room so he got embarrassed and had me fired. Cheers and happy New Year.

I was canned from my job at the Campbell's Soup factory because I didn't have the mettle.

I tried to be a chef, but they got rid of me when I couldn't cut the cheese.

My position as a lumberjack only lasted a week because I just couldn't hack it.

They let me go as an ambulance driver for a private sanitarium when they saw that it was driving me crazy.

I never made it all the way through the police academy, the training regimen was so tough that it arrested my development.

There was a good job I had with a traveling religious revival show. I was in charge of their suitcases, but it was really too much devotional baggage for me to handle.

I was once hired to write poetry, they wanted everything to rhyme
The job was very demanding; I had to produce scads by press time
So I did my very best, it truly put me to the test
I was rhyming and jiving from the opening moment until the closing bell
But the boss still wasn't happy with my work, this I could always tell
My hours shrank, my writings stank
I wasn't assigned the best kind of cases that stretched my mind
They shunted me the the back room, and I didn't think that that was fine
For the size of my paychecks began to show my worth to the bottom line
Finally they could take no more and threw me out on my behind
All because I failed once and yet again
To complete a page that line by line ended in like-sounding prose
    ~
