Do you think there is someone designing a hydraulic hand tool for the purpose of prying apart the metal slats of the border wall?

People intent in crossing illegally might be interested.

I imagine those jaws of life that fire departments use would do it. Cheers and Happy  New Year!

Right but probably kind of expensive. Need to design something cheat but effective.

Well the Egyptians may have moved heavy stones with a method called rope twisting. They would tie a rope around a couple of stones then get a pole in the middle and start twisted the rope around the pole it took little effort to move the stones towards each other. If you Google "pyramid building + rope twisting" you might find more info. So what I'm thinking is if they tied a few ropes to a couple of the slates in the wall they could bend the slates towards each other which would create a wider opening between the slates on the other sides of the slates they are bending. A hand carried 20 ton jack could be designed to easily open bars in any jail.  However, the border patrol has cameras everywhere and generally can get to a trouble spot really quickly.

Why bother when ladders and shovels exist and are cheaper?

It doesn't escape me that you certainly seem to know an awful lot about shovels, digging, law-breaking . . .

The truth is, I'm actually an undocumented immigrant. I dug a hole from Poland to get into the US.

I can't sit around here fooling around with you: I have to go make an anonymous phone call to the Border Patrol . . .

Once you pry the bars apart then a lot of people can pour through in a short time. Safer than a ladder. A tunnel would be more work and could cave in.

Such hydraulic tools already exist but they are not very portable! Quite heavy and bulky.

Wouldn't the people trying it, be spotted fairly quickly anyway?
