    Cloudy with a chance of meatballs is one of my favorite movies. I don't know why. I think it's the struggle the young man has to have a personal relationship with his controlling father. That's me relating to a movie on a kid level. The kid that lived it.

    Like Water for Chocolate - 1992 Mexican film based on the magical realist novel, published in 1989 by first-time Mexican novelist Laura Esquivel.

    Chocolat - 2000 British-American romnce-comedy-drama film based on the novel of the same name by Jonanne Harris, directed by Lasse Hallstrom
