One of the things that bothers me the most is that people - men and women - who wear sandals, flip clops or any other open backed shoe don't seem to wash the bottoms of their feet. Other than gnarly toes, nothing uglier than seeing the dirty soles of someone's feet.
Neutering is too extreme. I was on welfare for a few years due to a crippling back problem. Post-surgery, I'm a productive taxpaying member of society again.
You are exactly the kind of person for which welfare was meant. It was never meant to be a person's forever income unless there is a disability involved.
I'll go along up to neutering welfare recipients. There are occasions when a family is forced to go on welfare, but manages to get themselves on the right path. Welfare should be available for a period of five years only - not necessarily concurrent, but in total. People without disabilities should have to find work and if they cannot earn sufficient money to keep body and soul together, they would get a subsidy.
It may already exist but, there should be some way to prevent the amount of food wasted by restaurants and grocery stores. Those are the main places that come to mind.
Hibachi restaurants give such large portions there is no way one can eat it and it gets thrown away. Grocery Stores throw food away as soon as they expire. Such as vegetables. Those are two small examples.
So, a way to stop the amount of food wasted in the US?
Impose a maximum age as well as a minimum for Presidents. Say 70 - so no-one who has their 66th birthday prior to inauguration would be eligible to nominate. There's a minimum age of 35, there should be a maximum too. Senility, Alzheimer's disease and dementia are problems associated with ageing, Reagan clearly suffered throughout his second term and the current President shows signs as well. Enough refugees from the retirement home, let's get some energy in there.
Absolutely! Also, eliminate campaign finance contributions from corporations. Only individuals should be able to contribute to a campaign and only up to a maximum of let's say $25,000.
EDIT:
Actually, now that I think about it, even $25,000 is too much for one individual. Campaign money should be distributed via a general fund taken from our taxes which would be distributed equally among the candidates. Everyone should have a level playing field, not the person who has the most money.

I don't think we need any new laws. We have far, far too many already. We need to start repealing them. So that people will be more likely to take responsibility for their own destiny rather than blaming it on others.
In the US, limit Presidential power! That works when we have someone reasonable and sane in office, but it does not work when we have a King/dictator wannabee in that office.
