I have to get up around 5:30 am because I can't get rid of the habit of waking up early to get ready to go to work.  I been retired for 8 years now.

  • Since I have retired, I no longer "have" to be up at a certain time, but I still make sure to get up no later than 6am. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at January 16, 2019 3:19 PM MST

I don't "have" to get up at any particular time.  I choose to get up at 7:30 to avoid undesired consequences. This post was edited by Shuhak at January 16, 2019 3:19 PM MST

On work days I get up at 7:00 but I only get to do that because my wife gets up at 6:30 and gets the coffee on and makes my work lunch. Cheers!

When we must get up for work, I set my clock 5 minutes behind her's so she makes the coffee. I think she is catching on, though.

  • Not a morning person but hate sleeping too late.  It all depends on what is scheduled for the next day. If I have an early obligation I get up by 8 am.  If not or if I had one of my many sleep deprived nights, I turn off all alarms and turn phones off and let nature take its course lol.

I need to be up in time to give the cat, donkey and horses their breakfasts, which I set at 7 am as the latest.
But usually, I'm up at five to allow time for yoga, meditation and my breakfast.
Today's an aberration. Sore back and husband has kindly volunteered to do the chores.
