The movie I really like that has Winona Ryder is "How To Make an American Quilt." I went into that movie with no idea what it was about - - I got outvoted by my friends on what movie we would all see.
That movie was so good to me! Talk about a perfect cast! Everyone blew me away.
(And, no, honestly -- I didn't like the movie so much just because of Jonathan Schaech in his role as a lifeguard, ha! Though he certainly helped.)
I hope you can see it! Ryder is phenomenal in it. I love when movies do not bang you over the head with their in-your-face, over-the-top drama/violence/whatever. This one is a quiet, little movie that simply took my breath away.
(And Schaech -- I should look him up again. I don't know what he's been up to. But he's definitely, to me, much more than a great-looking actor. And the role he plays here -- in-depth and he plays it well to me.)
If you have about three-and-a-half minutes, I recommend listening to the music theme to the movie. I couldn't listen to it all tonight -- made me start crying. It's so beautiful to me. Thomas Newman wrote the music score to the movie. :)

And I forgot - - Schaech portrays a diver in the movie, not a lifeguard. I think. It's been a while since I watched. I just remember he touched me in his portrayal.
