    During WW2, my father got by with Spam and canned sardines. He demanded that there always be these food items in his house. I eat a can of Spam once in a while.

    id say many stuffs with sugar. but theres almost none, because what i ate as a kid, i still do today....


    for example, my favorite snack as a kid was oreo cookies... and im still fond of them !

    Fried Spam.  Mother would slice it, dip in egg, roll in crushed saltines, and fry.  We loved it.  I would not touch it now.

    I use to eat a number of gherkins and pickled onions straight out the jar.
