Do you believe in having favorites among people?

    Yes, but I think my favorites are the people I know the most good things about.  I just haven't discovered as much good in my less favorites friends, so far.

    There's no believing in.  We will always be more attracted to some more than others, agree with some more than others, etc.  We will not like all persons equally.  Thank goodness!!  When that happens we will indeed be stepford citizens.

    One group of guys at work said I favoured another group over them.  It's simple, the accusers are mean and nasty wheras the other guys are approachable and friendly.  Of course they are my favourites.  I would need to be some sort of masochist to feel otherwise.

    I have a favorite person in my life and support him in everything he does.  If he is or becomes famous I'm sure no one deserves it more.

    That is a game we play.  

    It lends to what pleases us the most.  How dare I?

    I have people I feel comfortable being around.    I have people who teach me lessons by having to be around them.  If I prefer one to the other, I am out of balance and asking for it.

    That's an interesting aspect. And it's one I admit that I can have challenges with, even though I know, deep down and as much I may try to battle it, I can learn/benefit/grow from pretty much anyone who enters my life.

    Ok, I took a class on doing voice overs.  I lost my demo tape but it was fun.  I lurve people who do voice overs?  I lurve actors as well,  I have a favorite voice over person and actor but I can't remember their names....what do you think they were?

    Not a matter of do I believe or not.

    Fact is fact.

    I certainly have favourites among my friends - the ones I'm closest to.
    I automatically expect that they do to.
    And it doesn't bother me.

    It's so simple -
    with some very rare people, the number of shared interests and values is so closely aligned
    that it's just incredibly easy to get along and 
    really enjoy each other's company and conversation.

    The key elements for me are emotional intimacy and high intelligence,
    but there is more.
    Creativity, awareness, curiosity, empathy, honesty and integrity
    all play I big part in who I feel most attracted to and comfortable with.
