Even though I don't have all the answers and I also want to help the others in with all their "thought" misgivings, there is a very spiritually wonderful story hidden. That is why I can relate the most to Dorothy. There is MUCH more to this story than meets the eye.....

If I could hit "best response" on this, I would! Someday, over cocktails, I will. But, before that happens, you already do have the answer... it's all in the shoes!!! I love you and it's great to see you! SHOTS!! and CHEERS!!

hello Jaimie Without much thought I would say the Scarecrow, he is kind, courageous and Trustworthy, and a bit intellectually challenged. When I give it some thought and consider the story, I can relate to Dorothy's character best. I was , at one time...long, long ago comfortable in my life, when I too was "hit on the head" and took a trip to Oz. My Oz was not filled with cute little munchkins and skipping down a Yellow Brick road but rather evil flying monkeys and a wicked witch. I was lost lost, trapped in that place for several years, desperately trying to find my way to a home that would never be. When I finally did escape the land of Oz my home was gone. I had to once again "tap my heels together" and wish for a new home, which I did find. I have spent the past 20 years making sure my house is a Home. I, as a single dad raised my kids here and it is a place where my children and myself can always call Home, and there is indeed no place like it!!..
That’s nice, glad you were able to make a comfortable home for your children:) Maybe that’s what Merlin meant about more to the story than just the shoes ;)
When I was 45 years old I went back to school to get my grade 12. When they handed me my diploma I thought this must be how the Scarecrow felt when the wizard gave him his certificate. I can also relate to the gals that worked at the beauty parlour in Emerald city because I paid for my courses and books with weed I grew and sold - as I trimmed plants I sang - with a snip snip here and a snip snip there that's how we spend the day away in the jolly old land of OZ. Cheers!
