To honestly answer your question, it is because of all the junk you put into your body by choice. But, my personal thoughts go way beyond just that. Ask any guy nowadays about his junk. He'd be looking down, shakin' it all around just to make sure somethin' was movin' around in his pants. Phew! I'm glad it's still danglin'. What's up with that? Who called it "junk" in the first place? Was that "Kutch?" It sounds like something he would say. The annunciation to the Irish might be Junkie! Who knows? I'm reaching here but you've gotta wonder.
There are many other words that explain the same thing. Let's think. Anything with head attached to it... ;) ;)
