It is possible that the country will collapse before the election. It is possible that the election goes ahead but the people refuse to accept the winner so the country collapses after the election. Almost anything is possible, and it's about time for anything to happen. We know a collapse is coming, and no culture has ever avoided the collapse once the symptoms began to show, but details and timing are unpredictable.
