I like that:) it sounds familiar, I’m sure  I’ve heard it before but it must have been a long time, good choice :) 

I use the words 'best' and 'favorite' a lot --  but this song truly is, THE best song I've ever heard -- musically, poetically, lyrically, and Gentry's performance.
I first heard it as a young child and I wold listen to it over and over and over. A rather morbid song for a young child but ( "the day Billie Joe McAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge" but)  -  wow. Amazing to my ears still.
