    Good question!  I think other countries have their versions of "The American Dream", however, I think that ideology has changed somewhat to "The American Reality"  thanks to our government (Big Nanny) and the elites.

    We are not free in England and there is no English dream....we are the most spied upon people in the world and every one in power abuses our rights when doing it.....

    I don't think most citizens here believe in that concept anymore. Lots of Central American citizens do. They are flocking here by the tens of thousands.

      I’m not asking whether or not the concept still exists or even if it ever existed in the US, I’m asking if other countries have a similar concept.

    My guess would be no, with the exception of dictatorships where the citizens are required to believe in their country's concept. I wonder what 'The North Korean Dream' is.

    IN the EU yes, it is the common notion of what it means to be "x".  The common shared Values, Attitudes and Lifestyles of citizenship.

    X = being French, German, Austrian, etc
