  • None. Today's main dish will be tomorrow's side dish.

    None.
We're careful not to buy more than what we need.
The trimmings from food preparation go into the worm farm or the compost, the results recycled to the veggie garden. This post was edited by inky at April 12, 2019 10:49 AM MDT

Most all the food we buy go's down our drains and the rest goes in the dustbins.....(Trash Cans) if your American...  :(

Lind Daddy Musk, I live alone and don't cook at home.  I will make just enough for one meal or in the unlikely event there's something left over, I'll take it to work for lunch.  My worst offense is buying bagged salad mix and not using it by the "used best by" date or a day or so later.  Once the lettuce looks limp, I just toss the bag.

Limp lettuce chop fine, mix with diced onions and seasonings of your choice in either vegetable or chicken stock.  Excellent Lettuce soup - viola.  If you are feeling brave mix in canned clams.  Make a Bloody Mary as a beverage and enjoy

  • I don’t even know why I wrote that there... I must have meant it as a reply to someone. I still don’t want to eat the limp lettuce though. I hate it.
