Sympathies. We never outgrow the need for a mummy. I guess the best we get is learning to become our own mothers in self-nurture. Or if we strike it lucky we get a great life-partner and provide the mothering to one another, hopefully the positive kind.
I lost my Mum about six years ago, but she had had severe dementia for quite a few years. I'd had time to adjust to the loss. And in many ways, I was more her mother.
Take my clothing off and give my self visual a treat..... How weird would that be and would you know that it was yourself you're looking at in the future.. !
Get into my dad's car and drive to the nearest place that sold ice cream. Then on the way home I would stop and buy cigarettes and beer so I could smoke and drink like my uncles do.

It would never happen because "self" is a singular word and "themselves" is a plural word. I can't get past the grammatical mix-match to imagine the hypothetical concept.
