What is something small that stressed you out when you were a child?

mine is when I was at the grocery store with my mom and she would leave the lineup to go ‘ get one more thing’ I would have a meltdown panic if it came close to time to pay and she wasn’t back yet. TOO STRESSFUL.

I had a GI Joe, one day I found out that if I tried hard enough I could pull his head completely off.  Once I had done it, I looked around and saw the wooded clothes rack and realized that its dowels had tips that were about the exact same size as his neck. Naturally, I popped his head onto the end of a dowel, and it fit perfectly. When I tried to pull it off of the dowel, it wouldn’t budge. Not. One. Bit.

I panicked!  “Oh, no, I’m going to get killed!”  I kept trying and trying to get that little rubberized plastic head off of that wooden dowel, stopping only to pray, and then going back to trying to pry it off of there. Stress was my middle name that day.

Eventually I was successful, but those fleeting moments were nerve-wracking.

    This explains everything.
I have been able to disseminate this story.  I now have, what I know to be, the exact reasons for your thinking and why you think the way you do.

NOW I SEE.  NOW I SEE.

Let us begin with your answering several questions.

    1.  Who bought that DOLL for you?  That war creature who you identify with?  Who bought that?  Was it your choice?  Was it forced upon you and you immediately liked it because that is what was expected of you.

    2.  You are showing hostility by pulling off the head.  Now that hostility could just be curiosity.  I'll let that slide for now.  But then you put the head on a STAKE?  Why?  That is very disturbing.

    3.  What were you afraid of?  You used the term I would get killed.  Very telling.  There is a lot of violence in the symbol of that toy, your feelings towards this toy and your fears about the fact that you do not actually OWN this toy if you are getting killed for dismembering it.

    YES I AM KIDDING.

I haven't been on this website for a long time....however after reading this post of yours, I am more than ever confident/convinced that President Trump will easily be re-elected in a landslide ala Ronald Reagan back in 1984.

Back in the 80's when there was only CNN for 24/7 news...CNN constantly mocked, ridiculed and made fun of Ronald Reagan ONLY because he was a Republican President who was ONLY just a "movie star" who had monkeys as his costars in his movies back in the 40's, thus deeming him as being a  RACIST, smh... man our media was awful back then, trying to portray Ronald Reagan as being just a MOVIE STAR, who was a racist for being an actor in movies with a monkey, smh

This all went down prior to social media, where Ronald Reagan was re-elected in a landslide..... even though our "msm" of only having ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN being our NEWS source for FACTS  back then.

Mine too is when shopping with my mom as a little girl back in the 60's. My mom loved to go shopping, DAILY...where she brought me (pre-1st grade) along with my baby sister....where she would walk off with my baby sister to look at this or that WHILE I was mesmerized at something else in that store(toys),  where I would PANIC/STRESS OUT trying to find my mom when I realized she was no longer near me....thus why til this day I HATE going shopping lol!! :)  What's ironic is that my 2 daughters(14 and 22) LOVE to go shopping just like my mom did....where I can't enjoy that with them because they know going shopping with me, means me just following them around the store to make sure they don't get lost lol!!

  • Having to go shopping with my mom.  Especially to crafting stores .  To this day I feel a bit traumatized at the thought of going into an arts and crafts or hobby store.

  • The smell that first came to mind about craft stores was that decorative weed a lot of people would use....they called it baby's breath.  I thought that stuff smelled awful.

A picture of the Old Maid.  I had an Old Maid deck of cards.  She had this Green face and looked like the witch in the wizard of oz.

I had nightmares when I was 3 and 4 about that old maid.  The scariest thing to me was that I was minding my own business in my own bed and this THING appeared in my head right in front of me.

I had no defense tools.  I'm sure that is why I am so demented to this day.
