Lately I've noticed a lack of proper beat in the so-called rock songs being produced. They seem to be clashing the tin wear at wrong times, like a beginner.

Have you never heard Phil Collins play. All well organized and fits properly in the song.

Not sure what you are specifically referring to or if that is any particular subgroup of rock.  Some rock is good.  But gets to be sort of a dreary and oppressive sameness.  So I prefer music that more frees me to be myself than dictates to me. More music that  can listen to rather than listen at.  Like classical music orchestras, chamber music. beautiful music, some more acoustic folk music, "new age" music, jazz.  Music that more lets me into it than keeps me out.

    Puppies and kittens.
    Chocolate.

If you're referring to music - it depends on the situation/mood I'm in.
If I just want a background music, I prefer classical.
