All you need do is relax & you'll get preggers instantly. Relaxation on its own might help in enjoying the act more, but it makes no difference to fertility. If there's no intrinsic flaw with the gonads, then lifestyle factors such as obesity, anorexia etc may be the cause.

Anyone can conceive anytime. 7 million Americans of childbearing age have fertility problems. Even under the best circumstances, conception is tricky. Age is far more of a factor than most people realise; the longer man or woman waits to have children, the more difficult it can be.

That it's mostly a woman's issue. In 20% of couples, it's a combined effect involving both partners. The male is solely responsible in 35% of cases.

Women don't start to lose their fertility until their late 30s or early 40s. Actually, a woman's fertility starts to decline at age 27. By the time a woman reaches 35, her chances of getting pregnant during any particular attempt are about half of what they were between the ages of 19 and 26.

But - for both men and women the chances of conceiving a child with abnormalities of brain or body increase with age,

Little can be done to improve a man's sperm. Little or no sperm can be due to blockages or other treatable conditions. Quitting smoking, losing weight, bicycling less than five hours weekly and avoiding hot tubs can help.

A man's fertility doesn't change with age. After age 35, a man's fertility decline tends to be slow and gradual but can be made worse by things like an infection in the genital tract).

Boxer shorts and loose pants are ideal underwear for prospective fathers. They do help keep the testes cooler, which is better for sperm production and testicular health - but considering the millions of sperm in any single ejaculation,  what a man wears has minimal effects.

Vasectomy reversals are rarely successful. Results for reversals are better than 50/50, but the longer a man waits to have a reverse vasectomy, the lower his odds.
