I think many people believe that extroverts don't ever appreciate being alone. Just because we're outing/friendly/social, this doesn't mean that we don't also appreciate our own company.
There is an impression among some introverts that extroverts are unintelligent and shallow. But many of my close friends are extroverts and I haven't found that to be true at all.
