God gave Abraham land for him and his descendants. So what is the problem now?
I don't think so because Abe was a Jew. Palestinians are Arabs.
Yes
Abraham was a Jew? Which of the 12 tribes of Judah did he belong to?
It's the descendants of Abraham's second son Isaac that became Jews.
The descendants of Abraham's first son Ishmael, became Arabs
Thus both the Arabs and the Jews are descendants of Abraham and cousins or brethren unto each other
I believe that CLURT's correct.
(Genesis 16:9-12) Jehovah’s angel then said to her: “Return to your mistress and humble yourself under her hand.” 10 Then Jehovah’s angel said: “I will greatly multiply your offspring, so that they will be too numerous to count.” 11 Jehovah’s angel added: “Here you are pregnant, and you will give birth to a son, and you must name him Ishʹma·el, for Jehovah has heard your affliction. 12 He will be a wild donkey of a man. His hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand will be against him, and he will dwell opposite all his brothers.”
Wow, that really goes back a long way.
You are correct. This is why many Palestinians refer to the Jews as their cousins and vice versa.
A- "Are Palestinians descendants of Abraham too?"
Indeed they are. The descendants of Abraham's second son, Isaac, became Jews while the descendants of Abraham's first son Ishmael, became Arabs. Thus both the Arabs and the Jews are descendants of Abraham and cousins or brethren unto each other.
B- If "God gave Abraham land for him and his descendants. So what is the problem now?"
1- A secular perspective of the problem:
a] Jews have been settled in various countries of the world for many centuries. They had become citizens of those countries which had naturally become their homes and the homes of their forefathers.
b] Palestine has for many centuries been home to approximately 86% Muslim, 10% Christian, and 4% Jews who all lived together peacefully and with so much trust and cooperation that Jews used to leave their children with their Arab, Muslim neighbours whenever they went away for their long prayer sessions.
c] Zionism came up with the idea of a homeland for Jews. They decided on Palestine and without consulting the inhabitants of Palestine started transporting shiploads of Jews into Palestine from their homes in various countries. This has caused massive displacement of Palestinian Muslims and Christians over the years as depicted in the maps below. Palestinian Muslims and Christians are now confined to the Gaza Strip, acknowledged by many as the world’s largest open prison and the West Bank, while many languish in refuge camps in neighbouring countries.
d] Palestinian Muslims and Christians are not allowed to return to their homes but Jews who have never before set foot in Israel are offered incentives to leave their countries, claim their “right of return” to Israel and settle there. What has been recognised as ethnic cleansing, carried out partly through 33 massacres driving fear in the hearts of a people who had no organised army to defend them, has continued to this day to make way for more Jewish settlers. Palestinians continue to have their homes demolished and their olive trees destroyed. Israel has also become a more ruthless and worse apartheid state than South Africa ever was. Israel uses its military might to bomb the impoverished people of Gaza who don’t have a single rusty tank, leaky gunboat or shaky biplane to defend themselves with.
e] When Count Folke Bernadotte of Sweden wrote in his progress report of September 1948 recommending that the U.N. should affirm "the right of the Arab refugees to return to their homes in Jewish controlled territory at the earliest possible date." the Israelis responded by murdering Bernadotte in Jerusalem the following day.
f] How has such gross injustice been allowed to take place? Well the Europeans are heavily guilt laden over their long persecution of Jews which lead to the horrors of the holocaust and that keeps them from raising their voices too loud. That’s simple to understand. What has me totally puzzled [and I’d appreciate some good answers over it] is how a small group of Zionists have managed to turn the world’s most powerful country into a happily obedient servant of Israel. It sounds unbelievable, but it isn’t when you consider
i-The Israeli PM has been recorded to have got more standing ovations from the American Congress than the American president himself
ii-The US gives priority to Israel over the needs of its own citizens. It gives 10.2 million dollars of American tax money EVER DAY to Israel. Money which has made Israel the most powerful country in the region and the only nuclear one.
iii-perhaps the clearest indication of how much under control the US is came when Israel launched an unprovoked air and sea attack on an unarmed US naval ship in international waters with the apparent aim of leaving no survivors. Fortunately for the crew of the USS Liberty the captain managed to find another radio through which to send an SOS. However, when military planes took off to go to the aid of the stricken ship they were ordered back apparently on the authority of the US president himself.
g] That fixes the governments, but what about public opinion? In those days there was no internet. The only source of information for the public was the mass media. This colluded with the Zionists to portray the Palestinians as the land hungry terrorists who just wouldn’t let Jews live peacefully in their own land. Then with the internet came social media which allowed ordinary people to show the world what the real situation on the ground was. More people now know that they have been lied to. Those the media portrayed as victims were really the callously destructive aggressors. There is an increasing number of Jews who are appalled by what has happened and are saying “not in my name”. The JVP [Jewish Voice for Peace] is one organization of such Jews that has emerged to campaign for Palestinian rights.

2- a religious perspective
Orthodox Jews consider the violent and unjust creation of Israel by the Zionists at the expense of Palestinian rights a gross violation of Judaism. Their religion requires the Jews to remain loyal citizens of all the countries they live in until their messiah comes when he will peacefully gather Jews in Israel. In this video they can be heard announcing that they pray to God every single day for the peaceful and speedy dismantlement of the state of Israel.
3- a political perspective
Palestine had been under the administration of the Ottomans from about 1516 until the First World War. After that it was placed under British mandate. The Zionists persuaded the British to sign the Balfour Declaration which committed the British government to support a Jewish homeland in Palestine, a land that didn’t belong to Britain to give away. To alienate the British further away from their obligation to the Palestinians, Israeli agents disguised as Arabs bombed the King David Hotel which was the administrative HQ of the British.
