  • Partaking in noonday nonsense.

Let‘s address the fallacies in this question:

The sun neither rises at dawn, nor sets at dusk.

Dawn is the earliest light before the sun rises, and dusk is the last lingering light after after the sun goes down.

That said, all have favorite aspects IMO.  This post was edited by Don Barzini at July 10, 2019 8:24 AM MDT

Dawn, from just before the first glimmering.
Partly because our place faces Nor-East (in the Southern Hemisphere).
Our West is half-hidden behind a lacework of trees and kilometre high cliffs.
Partly because I'm a natural early riser -- often exhausted by the time the sun sets.

Sun about to rise from behind Wollumbin - view from just outside our place.

    A very tough call.
Our house faces East so we see the sunrise.  I really enjoy starting the day that way.
I love the ocean and normally am near it at sunset.
    Hmmmmmmm.
Still, I think I'll go with sunrise. It's a great way to start the day.  This is believing I go to bed to wake up to it.
Either way,  I still think sunrise wins.

Both!  Except I'm outside at sunrise jogging and most often inside at sunset.  Still I often notice them.

  • I will never be up early enough to see the sunrise. Plus I'm in California; we're the Sunset State. Our sunsets over the Pacific are legendary :)
