And just how do you arrive at that illogical conclusion?

  • The same logic that's applied to sitting down for the star spangled banner

That sounds like something a follower of Chairman Mao would say.

Well I know a couple US Marinas and when Obama was running they didn't like him and they bad mouthed him all the time. But when he was elected that all stopped and they stood behind him and I figured thats how it should be. But I'm not sure if thats how it should be if Trump is elected. Cheers!

Are you kidding me, compared to Clinton and Trump, Obama is just fine by me.

Nothing like libs who have never served this country telling me I have to love Obama in order to be patriotic.

That's a stupid thing to say.  Patriotism may demand respect for the office of the president, but not the man.

Yeah, yeah. Some people live their whole lives by symbols, and often they can't tell one symbol from another. Flag, country, president, army, national anthem, it's all the same jumble.

  • That's a stupid thing to say. The president is the leader of our country and if you don't respect the leader you hate america.

What does the "K" stand for, BABB? Khaki? Kettle? Kipling? Kuwait? Am I getting warm yet?

  • She's making a point on the Kaepernick haters vilifying him for not standing during the anthem while the very same people question Obama's citizenship and say otherwise disgusting things about him and his wife and his children all the while claiming to be great patriots of this nation.

The double standard is not lost on me.

Would you say the same about those who hated Bush when he was president, but now worship at the feet of Obama? How about those who found Clinton's personal actions in the Oval Office offensive and despised him for his lies about it? Were they unpatriotic?

Fortunately, in the US, we don't have to like our president if we don't want to.
