    And, now again, possibly the Most-Posted-Video-WelbyQuentin-Has-Posted-On-AnswerMug - - -

this would be where I would most likely end up --  haven't ridden it in years

I'd just go to Cedar point. If I had the money.

Sounds like they made Cedar point an expensive place to go when I was there 40 years ago the prices were pretty reasonable. Anyway today I found out that Disney owns a big piece of land by us and they have started clearing it so I'm really hoping that in a few years we will have a Disney theme park around here. Cheers!

That'd be a great idea, too. That'd be fun.

In fact, another friend of mine wants me to go there soon with her. I've not been to Cedar Point in a while, too.

That Wind Seeker ride at Cedar Point - - it TERRIFIES me!! I think I posted a video of it once on the site. I might post it again.
    :)

    EDIT: I found it  :)

EDIT 2 : This isn't the video I wanted to post - - the other wouldn't post. This one still gets the point across, though.
    :)

No plans - well none definite.
No spare income available to fund the travels we'd love to enjoy.

Ari might decide to sacrifice some of his small nest egg for a trip to visit his sister and nieces in Israel.
If so, I'd need to get my ID sorted and get a passport - that would take time waiting for bureaucratic cogs to turn.

I'm training three of the young horses with a view to finding homes for them - also time-consuming.
Once I'm down to two or three horses, it will be much safer and easier to find a caretaker to manage things while we're away.
It will also free up some of my income - so I can afford prescription glasses and skin cancer excisions.

    We've been discussing it.
Jet flights for tourism are now one of the leading causes of global CO2 emissions.
So we think it would be lovely to get a place on a 14 berth yacht, sail north around the coast of Australia in winter and then on to India and up through the Suez canal to the Dead Sea and Israel.
I'm nervous as hell about all the conflict in the Middle East.
Lily and Udi, Ari's sister and brother-in-law, insist that there's no danger. They say the people who suffer what we hear on the news are a minute percentage of the population and the risks are so remote as to be ridiculous to consider. I think they're like ostriches with their heads stuck in the sands of the stony Negev desert.
We'd have to mind our P's and Q's - Ari's rellies are right-wing nationalists - while we're lefties and sympathetic to the cause of Palestinians.
I'd be biting my tongue 99% of the time.

Oi vey! What a way to makes one's last trip overseas. :/

I was in Israel in 1986...I re-enlisted in the US Navy on my birthday. Very cool, since I am Jewish. I hope you can do what you want. Fair winds and following seas.

Right now I am in Kaprun, Austria.  For my next trip (tomorrow) we are going to Rimting, Germany, south of Munich.
