That's a song that you are too young to know.

Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Is In)

(Yeah, yeah, oh yeah, what condition my condition was in)

I woke up this mornin' with the sundown shinin' in
I found my mind in a brown paper bag within
I tripped on a cloud and fell-a eight miles high
I tore my mind on a jagged sky
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

(Yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)

I pushed my soul in a deep dark hole and then I followed it in
I watched myself crawlin' out as I was a-crawlin' in
I got up so tight I couldn't unwind
I saw so much I broke my mind
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

(Yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)

Someone painted "April Fool" in big black letters on a "Dead End" sign
I had my foot on the gas as I left the road and blew out my mind
Eight miles out of Memphis and I got no spare
Eight miles straight up downtown somewhere
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

I said I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
    Yeah
    Yeah
    Oh yeah

That is such an odd turn of words for anyone to come up with, I just assumed he was listening to Kenny.

I was so sure, I never even bothered to answer the question.

Are Y'all aware that Kenny Rogers was in the First Edition. He is the lead vocalist on that song?

I've always loved that song. It was one of the songs on "The Big Lebowski" soundtrack as well

TRUMP\s GONNA lose BIGLY is right --

I thought I've heard the 'condition" part of your question before -- thought it was familiar - - I googled the words  - they're part of the lyrics to a song. I didn't listen to the song, didn't know it by the title.
    :)

I should go back and listen now.

I tried to get it for you but my computer crashed. I just got it up again and lo and behold everyone did my work for me.  This song is actually one of the best Kenny Rodgers songs.  I love this.

Oh, wow -- I like it immediately.
I don't think I know this song. I've heard of the group. I'm listening to it now. I know of The First Edition but sometimes I don't always know what songs go with what groups.

(Like only recently, I found out the title and artist of a song I've LOVED ever since I first heard it years ago -- and only in the last several months found out it is --  "All Apologies" by Nirvana.

I had no idea it was them. And now, after listening to more of Nirvana, I found out several other songs I like are theirs and I never knew it. Up until recently, I only knew for sure that Smells like Teen Spirit was Nirvana.

I would enjoy listening to more of The First Edition, I bet.
Boy- - that "All Apologies" song -- so good to me.
    :)

It has nothing to do with your question you asked but I may go ahead and post it anyway, ha!

EDIT: Here is "All Apologies". And while looking for it, I heard just a snippet of Sinead O'Connor doing a cover of the song - - omg -- her cover sounds wondrous! I love the song itself. And I like Sinead -- I'll be listening to her version later, I'm sure. I'm later than I thought, best be going- - maybe. Ha.
And, of course, I already said I love Nirvana singing their own song.

  • I like Nirvana and that's a good one.
Have you ever heard Sinead O'Connor's take on that tune?

Existentially speaking, I KNOW GOD.  I KNOW GOD EXISTS, yet I still fear dying.  That is an existential quandry, the likes of which make all other quandries , EVEN TRUMP and his existence, pale in comparison.

Thanks for sharing that. I appreciate reading it at this moment. I'm sort of there, too, I think, at times.

    Rotten and getting worse.
    Eco-grief avalanche.
Questioning writing ability, goals and potential for achieving anything.

Bad cold making it much worse.

Head stuck between thumbscrews. Twenty kilo weight on my chest. Coughs that rasp and hurt.

    Laid low. :(

My "condition" is slightly mottled, twisted, and leaking.
    But I'm getting better
