Your Honor, this woman doesn't know me at all! I'm not involved in any of those activities in her allegations, and frankly, I'm a bit appalled that she's dragging my good name through the mud like that. I have a reputation to uphold, you know? (Cough, cough.)
The defence has the legal right (and possibly obligation) to impugn the character of the witness. However, the prosecution reserves the right to use evidence. ;)
