Speaking literally, not figuratively, what was the last thing you threw, and why did you throw it?

(I’ve just thrown in three examples of using a changing verb.)

I learned my lesson about throwing things a long time ago when I had a hissy fit and threw a box of paper clips and then had to pick them all up.

Professor, are you absolutely sure that you want to hitch your wagon to a disqualified answer?

If the contents of the stomach were initially projected in a vertical direction, it qualifies.

"Throwing up" is one of many idiomatic expressions for vomiting.  Even though he may have literally vomited, he did not literally throw anything, therefore it is figurative, not literal.

I frequently and purposefully in jest write words incorrectly, and every time I do it, anyone is free to hammer me on it.  I have never purported that I do not do it.

I threw my laundry down the stairs today.  I do that.  The laundry room is right by the stairs down there.
