No, I haven't ever felt that way. Anyone that thinks/feels he or she is untouchable/invincible, king/queen of the hill has usually found out the hard way that they were not. Many times their fall was great.
Never ru? Not once? Not ever? No blissful moment when you felt you owned the world and the world was in your corner? That is very sad. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday to you.
All I can say is that I had a good old school upbringing. I was taught to always have respect for my parents. To have respect for my elders. To respect the females of all ages which included opening doors, carrying books and packages, etc. I was to respect those in authority and to generally give respect where it was due. I was also taught that there was always someone out there that was smarter, faster and tougher than I was. All that teaching over the years of me growing up kept me grounded in reality and common-sense. It may be sad to you that I didn't have those visions of grandeur but I am eternally grateful and thankful that I didn't. That teaching is still with me today.
You misunderstood my point. It is NOT VISIONS of GRANDEUR to which I refer at all. Odd that is all you could garner or take away from what I wrote ru. Too bad. How sad. You don't even know what I'm talking about do you? You don't even have clue?. SIGH. Thank you for your reply.
Sure. At work. I always make sure I have a track record for being a GREAT employee. I make it so you cannot fire me unless you want to hire someone less competent.
They can't fire me because I have a following at work and people come to see me. If I were no good? Nothing I do would be right. But since I am good? I have a lot of rope. I don't abuse it, but I could if I wanted to.
I AM the only therapist there that runs around the place barefoot. LOL I am the only person in the place that hands out medicated brownies to my boss. I AM the only therapist that buys my own products so I don't have to depend on the front desk to waste time dispensing stuff I need to start the massage. Things like that. Things I should be fired for. But, they realize I do a better job than anyone else if they just get out of my way and let me do my thing.
I always wanted to be left alone to do my thing at work Sharon. If I needed help I'd ask. Otherwise BUG OFF! So I totally understand where you are coming from. Thank you for your thoughtful reply! :)
Put a guitar in my hands or a keyboard in front of me, a mike at my lips, three or four others with instruments doing their thing and a bunch of people dancing and enjoying themselves, and I'm God. Briefly, anyway.
