I wouldn't be in too big of hurry there. The NGI (National Gravitational Institute) was conducting random gravity tests today. During these tests, small random sized spheres of gravity are modified. Its likely that you experienced one of these spheres. It is possible that a glass item inside one of these spheres wouldn't hit the ground as hard as one outside the sphere, thus not breaking.
Just means somebody finally developed a formula for unbreakable wine and drinking glasses. Good for them.I worked on that for a few years myself but could never quite get it right.
Well, in this case it was regular glass. We bought a set of eight glasses, and over the years three of them shattered under similar circumstances that befell this one, which is why I’m surprised it survived. ~
Some 30 odd years ago, I threw an object behind my back, 20 feet, off a wall, and into a trash can. 2 points? No way. One in a million shot that was. However, 20 years later, I found a lottery ticket that was blowing across my lawn. I grabbed the offending litter and looked at it. I had never played the lottery so I rubbed off all the numbers that the previous player had failed to do. It was a winner! Well, $2 anyway.
I never knew glasses could drink, it's my bet that it had a hole in it somewhere or you were using it upside down again.... Its a common habit in Australia or NewZealand so the Natural Blonde Association tells it members going to those countries.... :(
