    Perfect for what?

    Many people prefer Spanish red onions or the many varieties of green spring onions for salads.

    I prefer very large browns for sautéing to golden sweet.

    Others like the little ones for pickling.

    And Dr Michael Mosely's research has found that the more varieties of onions and garlic we eat, the better it is for cultivating certain kinds of good gut bacteria.
