They do. I remember Pulp Fiction.  That one had a rear view.

As a matter-of-fact, all movies with cars have rear-views. You are spreading fake news.

On reflection ,it's very hard to say....if your filming from the rear of the vehicle the camera man/women would film him/herself in the frame.......it's not rocket science even for this cute blonde....:)

How about the fact that they are shot from the front much of the time?

Who wants to look at the screen through a screen with a huge mirror screening the Mugs being filmed for every screen shot to be screened on the big screen ......obviously it's removed for the scene so it can't be seen through the the screen it seems     :)

Randy?  I don't believe this.  It seems I found the only car movie that has a rear view mirror.  Even car movies like TRIPLE X and Christine do not have rear view mirrors and I never even noticed it.

Wow. What else have I missed?  Help me!!!!~~~~~

Depends on the scene. If the mirror is going to reflect things the director does not want in the scene. (This simply be more light)

But there are several movies with cars which have rear view mirrors.

Because the traffic behind them is video that is added later. The car is not moving and no one cares what's behind it. Sorry to spoil any illusions you might have.

When it comes to you, I never have any illusions; I have clear-cut visions of our undying love . . .

I have seen both. When they are there, they are blackened to eliminate unwanted reflection.

I never noticed that.  Now, I'm going to have to make it a point to look. :)  What does bother me is when the driver takes his/her eyes off the road for 10-15 seconds to talk to the passenger.  No one I know looks away for that length of time.  At fast speeds, that is very dangerous.
