    If you swear an oath to God, it is between you and God. If you lie deliberately God is not there to listen.  Lindsey and Mitch are totally on their own.

    I won't take an oath at all, violating it or not. Any time I've been in court, I've made an affirmation rather than taking an oath on the Bible. I consider it the height of hypocrisy to swear by a book that explicitly forbids the practice of taking oaths. Matt 5: 34-37, cf Jas 5: 12.
