Do you have a favorite piece of clothing you will not part with, even though you haven't worn it in years?

I admit to not parting with a few blouses in my closet because I keep thinking I will have the perfect occasion to wear them.  But they are a year older than the last time I was deciding if they needed to go or not.

Do you do this too?

Well, at least it gets a wear or two.

    It can stay.  :)

Come rescue a few blazers that are in my closet.  I used to have them for the job I had.  They need a new home!

I have a bag right now ready to go to the Salvation Army, and more to follow.

I have had a bag in the trunk of my car for the last year now.  I really do have to drop that thing off.

Yep.  A green and dark purple Levi's shirt I bought years ago.  It's one of the prettiest shirts I've ever owned.  Haven't put it on in years, though.

Ya I got a Ramones t-shirt - its got the cover from their Road To Ruin album on it and the words Hey Ho Lets Go. I try not to wear it so much so that I can keep it forever. Cheers!

I have some concert t-shirts too. Those are definitely worthy of keeping.  :)

That is beautiful and I would NEVER part with that hoodie either.  I think certain pieces of clothing DO hold memories, sad and happy.  I completely understand this.

I have had in the past. Unfortunately, all have since crumbled to dust and been carried away on the wind.

I have heaps of ties that I hang on to. The psychedelic ones from the 60s are very unlikely ever to receive another outing.

My husband has ties that go back decades and I laugh about them since he seldomly needs to wear even one.  But I also know his kids gave him most of those ties when they were little.  I think our closet can accommodate them.

LOL No.  Since moving I downsized my closets.  I had one huge walk in closet and another good sized clost in our old place.  Now we only have one closet for clothes and one smaller closet for our coats.

So, do you have an item that you know you should say "buh-bye" to, but can't?  My closet is actually way too small and I anything I can part with would help.

Yes, I have a robe that is older then Brian, and it's still in good shape. But I don't wear it very often either.

I threw away a 30 lb bag of assorted clothes from me, hubby, the grandkids when we moved.

As long as I have 1 nice dress, nice slacks, some work out clothes, I'm fine! lol  I do need to get me a few blazers to go with the pants I now have.  I'm low maintenance...lol
