It's not that I hate sunshine (but almost), it's that I much prefer the comfort, both visually and physically, of the unassuming blanket of overlapping gray clouds. As opposed to the glare of the oppressive sun, demanding our attention, "I will now sit here, non-stop, and beat on you relentlessly." I tend to personalize it all in a strange way, I know.
I've been this way for forever -- I always hated that folk tale - - something about the sun and wind/clouds in a contest to see who could make a man take off his jacket or something. We're all supposed to love the sun in the story's moral or something - - the sun pissed me off, though. The wind blew hard and the guy kept his coat on -- the sun blasted hard with its heat and glare and the guy takes jacket off - - but, uh, they both were doing the same thing, trying hard what they do, yet, we're supposed to prefer the sun for some reason.
I know -- I need help. Ha! :)

My wife dragged me to one of her Christmas concerts with a troop of girl scouts. I think I was the only male there. How embarrassing. 5,000 screaming teen and pre-teen girls. I still cringe when I think about it and every time I hear or see her name.
Forgive me -- and I don't know why - - but the added detail of being dragged to the concert "with a troop of girl scouts" makes your story even funnier to me. :)
Don’t do that, we need all the personality we can get here lol. Sharon made mention of something about your personality in one of my posts, but I think it was before I met you. She went on about you liking death and torture and said “just wait? You’ll see.”
