What's the silliest, stupidest, embarrassing thing you've said or done, which makes you shudder every time you recall it?

(Why is it that I never get proposed to like that?)


I was in Australia for the first time and I met a dazzlingly beautiful dark-skinned woman who must have been either Aborigine (sp?) or Maori. She was so good-looking that I could barely speak, which proved to be my downfall when I tried to do it. I asked her, "How are you?" She responded, "Fine, thank you." Like some kind of dufus, the next words out of my mouth were, "How are you?" When I realized what stupidity I had uttered, I was so embarrassed that I didn't even try to redeem myself, I just turned away from her in shame and I walked away, never to look back at her.

It's been a couple of decades, and I still kick myself for screwing that up.

In the years before I was medicated I once went nuts in one of my classes in college, started yelling at students and the lecturer. In all fairness it was a toxic environment filled with drama but that one day I was pushed too far and just snapped. On reflection though it was a very ridiculous thing to do lol.
