    * Do not carry a knife in your back pocked blade up.
    * Make doubly sure that the circuit breaker is off before attempting electrical repairs.
    * 2 wrongs may not make a right, but they come awfully close.
    * Never trust a cars gas gauge.
    * Pee when you have the chance.
    * Stay young.  Getting old sucks!

  • Youth defies gravity.  Maturity often acquiesces to it.

Mind out of the gutter. That's my hand, in the cast I'll be wearing for at least a month. Compound fracture of the right thumb - and I'm right-handed.

I remember when I broke my finger in two places on my right hand immediately before I had a piano recital and my school tests. I had to learn to do everything with my left hand for a while.

  • There is no wisdom that comes with age.

But if you have a big enough pile of money, no one notices.

    1) Aging does not make one wise, it is the collection of learning and experience through mounting years that makes wisdom available to us.

    2) No one should have the power to dictate to you how to feel about something. Ever.

    3) Work to be the best version of yourself, no one else can do it for you.

    4) There is no shame in failure, only guilt in refusing to try.

    5) Listening is a talent. Listening to yourself is only half the story.

    6) The meaning of life is what you put to your own, anyone who tells you different is serving their interests more than yours.

Thanks. I’ve had years to polish these pearls. The last four items were imparted regularly to my kids since they were old enough to understand.
    Useful wisdom, IMO.
