We will all keep getting up every morning and going to work. What are you going to do, take a flying leap off a bridge or tall building?

    Good to see ya.

If I take that leap, I promise I will have a big fat orange cellulited blob of a scumbag to leap with me so I can have a soft landing.  That would be choice.

Hopefully stop letting his every sneeze and burp have your attention.  You've let politics rule your thoughts for way too long.  There really are happy days and much pleasantness in life if you will just give them some space on your calendar.   Please, when this election is over, take a two-year break regardless of who wins.  You'll be shocked at your capacity for happiness.

It might comfort you to know that my brother, the Republican retired Army rabbi colonel, said that he will never watch a SOTU or vote for any Republican for any office as long as Trump is president.

Your ballroom days are over baby, night is getting near.  Shadows of the evening crawl across the years.

Trump walks around the stage with power that he has not earned.  He rapes and pillages with our heads bowed to him to glorify the PRINCE OF DARKNESS.  Keep working eating sleeping and playing  I will keep praying.

My new mantra - the left needs to do a better job of spreading education and understanding of its political philosophies:
exactly what liberalism stands for in principles and policies, how and why it works,
and provide honest, non-cherry-picked statistics on the successes in long-term left-democracies.
It also needs to explain the economics of how and why climate change needs to be factored in with new policies.

Only in the USA and Australia do conservatives try to deny human agency in climate change.
I say "try" because gradually there is a shift. One by one, even conservatives are beginning to realise the extreme economic costs of not taking preventative, mitigating and adaptive measures.

Elsewhere in the world, climate change is not considered a partisan issue but a scientific fact, well-proven, and now affecting every geographic region on the planet. This means that countries like Germany and Britain, those who began earliest, are now far ahead in terms of adaptation and preparation - and they're doing a far better job of effective emissions reduction.

I am here to support your new mantra.  We need to do so much more.  And Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are so ineffective that it is pathetic.

We need a progressive leader and if we don't get one, (Sanders or Warren) we will have a mini-Trump waiting to happen.

At the moment, from way over here, it looks like Sanders will get it.
The news we get is that his policies are somewhat more left than that of many Dems.
My only worry is his age - but I know that is agism.
A fit, healthy 78-year-old may still have a lot of energy and will certainly have the advantage of experience.

The failure of the impeachment could backfire for the Dems.
My hope is that progressives will not abstain from voting, but come out in force to have their voices heard where it counts - at the ballot box.

Wait, Sharonna!  Nancy Pelosi (finally) moved forward with the impeachment after months of stalling, and now that it's gone flat, she's top candidate for left-wing martyrdom!  And don't forget her latest hit at the State of the Union Address, wherein she tore up her copy of Trump's speech in dramatic fashion, a topper to her wearing of glaringly-white clothing in a bid to exhibit purity chasteness!  She's not ineffective at all, she's heroic, bold, daring, clever, astute, feisty, etc.!

Climate change could be a non-partisan issue if the Republicans believed in science.

At the risk of seeming like a quitter, I am in the process of getting myself used to the idea that Trump, by hook or by crook, may very well win a second term.  My only hope is that intelligent people will prevail and make Congress majority Democrats.  Let Trump then have to deal with the full opposition of Congress.
