We can only be enhanced by their respective histories and excellence. Who doesn't revere/look up to/admire Syria and Nicaragua? Now others can look down upon and admire the United States for the very same reason. Having a head of state that is so astute he refuses to join the rest of the world in a joint effort that all other countries agree is a smart thing, a beneficial thing, a productive thing. Being out of step with the rest of the world means you are a leader. You are independent. You are unaffected by anyone or anything but your own brilliance. That takes a lotta guts doesn't it?
