In the "Student Prince" it is the story line. Loving someone who is not an appropriate match and being duty-bound to marry a princess and leaving behind his true love. I'm sure it happens in real life as well. I think that's sad. What do YOU think? Would you fulfill your obligations to your country or abdicate/run away/marry for love?

If the wealthy paid $1 million before the cuts and after the cuts pay $10,000 how is that not FREE MONEY in the amount of $990,000 to the already wealthy who don't need it? Billions of free money in the form of tax cuts made the corporations giddy! Everyone loves the free money. Especially the wealthiest among us. They want more for themselves and decry the poor wanting more too. Selfish. Greedy. That seems to come with the territory of the obscenely wealthy. There are of course some exceptions. Rare. Noteworthy. less

It is the person not the thing itself that controls appreciation. A student getting a grant or scholarship( for whatever reason) that facilitates his/her going to university when otherwise the student couldn't is very much appreciated. Working to earn the money to go college is not easy. Getting a helping hand here and there when you can is greatly appreciated. There are student loans of course but they are not "gifts". You have to pay them back. The student debt can be crushing and take years maybe decades to pay off. What's wrong with helping the kids out? less

IN 1967 Martin Luther King Jr. talked about it. Finland is starting a program that will pay $600/month to 2000 citizens for a limited tmie. Ontario, Canada will pay $12,600 a year to certain residents for a limited period of time. They are testing the idea out to see what benefits may accrue from it.Machines are taking away jobs. Robots too. UBI helps people to bridge the gap between available jobs and the need for them. Also it is needed to counteract the effects of growing income inequity in the United States.Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs plans to implement the program this year. The money for it will come from the SEED program by the Economic Security Program who will provide $1 Million for it. The plan is to pay $500/month to certain people for 3 years. less

Members of our intelligence community cannot afford to be naive/ingenuous/trusting.Underestimating them may be the donjohn's undoing. He is not as smart as he thinks he is. He is not as anything as he thinks he is. Izzy?
