Are some people actually trying household cleaning products in their bodies against COVID19?
Donald J. Trump is THE person who
A) needs to come out and admit he was not joking nor being sarcastic with his statement about consuming or injecting household cleaning products to ward off Corona Virus, and B) clearly and unequivocally state that no one should try it, attempt it, contemplate it, consider it, experiment with it or do it [the redundancy is intentional to cover all bases].
Unfortunately, there are news reports of some people getting sick from apparent or supposed instances of following this ill-advised “treatment”. ~
I'm no Trump fan, but I think the media is misrepresenting this. He didn't mean to actually inject the disinfectant. What he meant was remove the lungs, turn them inside-out, spray them with disinfectant and then use a UV light to dry them. Then, turn the lungs right-side-out and put them back in. But, you won't hear the media explain it this way because it doesn't fit their narrative.
Yet explain the thousands of calls that followed Trump’s “non-advice” to health agencies all over the US about using disinfectants internally. The President “couldn’t imagine” why they happened. Are you similarly befuddled?
Trump still doesn't get it that what he says matters. Public speaking should not include thinking out loud. Much as we would like to think that everyone is as smart as we are, it just isn't true. He needs to choose his words carefully and consider the impact. He can't blame the media for this one, the media pointed out the flaws in his suggestion and yet, desperate people seized on this faint hint of a cure.
On the contrary, I think he knows very well that what he says matters. That doesn't mean that some things he says don't sound stupid, but he most definitely is not a stupid person. Nobody capable of being elected POTUS is stupid, contrary to what you may hear on MSNBC.

Actually, Trump is living proof that anybody can in fact be elected POTUS---all it takes, as he has demonstrated, is enough stupid people in certain states to vote for him.
I'm not sure if you inferred that I said Trump was stupid. What I meant is that Trump should filter what he says so that everyone listening to him, regardless of their level of intelligence, can take it at face value. I have a very low regard for MSNBC which is simply the flip side of Fox, so please don't insult me by implying that I get my opinions from cable news.
We need a disclaimer similar or identical to this on the bottom of the coverage of his comments---"Stupid POTUS commenting on things he knows nothing about while his equally stupid audience literally "drinks in" what he is saying---DO NOTtry this at home!!! (or anywhere else for that matter).
