If you were a land mass, which one would you want to be, and most importantly, why?

I think I’d want to be an active (as opposed to dormant) volcano. I could lie on in wait for extremely long periods of time, lulling the masses into a false sense of calm and bliss, and then suddenly without any warning, unleash my fury and wrath by rumbling and exploding and spewing forth the pent-up collection of rocks and gravel and mud and ash all over the surrounding countryside. Or, I could be a jutting peninsula encircled by a warm body of blue-green water. Meh, I’m flexible.

A tropical atoll. Warm, idyllic, good surfing. Just preferably not a radioactive one.

i'd like  to be the North American continent but I would need a pair of shorts to cover that part hanging down on the south-eastern coast.

John Donne didn't write "No Man is an Island" for no reason, so that reduces the options. Maybe a peninsula.

What a great question!  Something I have never pondered but am glad I now have the opportunity to do so.
    Hmmm.. thinking... thinking...
Your choices are very different from one another.  It's good to see you have flexibility.
Since you have already used peninsula (a great choice I might add,)  I think I would like be an island in the South Pacific.
I would have gentle waves rhythmically caressing  my soft, sandy beaches. I would have lush undergrowth that is easy on the toes while walking toward my center.  I have two mounds directly across from one another.  One would have a gorgeous waterfall, flowing gracefully from the top entering a pool of clean water where you could swim and play.  On the other hill there would be a meadow to relax in and look at the stars at night.
Directly in the center I would have a hot spring.  It wouldn't be too hot or too cool.  About 98.6 degrees year round.
Fresh water would be abundant to drink and bathe in all over me.  Good water that feels like you just put lotion on.
I would have palm trees for shade and coconuts easy to open. There would be abundant places to build a shelter and natural tools to build with.
I would have strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries in a controlled area and mango, papaya, banana, avocado, orange, apple, grapefruit, along with almond and walnut trees.  It's a little island but never lonely.
I would have plenty of my ocean friends come and visit me.  Dolphins, whales, sharks, marlin, tuna, and kelp, krill, shrimp, crab, muscles, clams, in the sand, and even the aliens that live in the depths would come up and visit me.  The Birds!  I would have birds that live with me and keep me company.  Especially peacocks!  They are beautiful to look at and always remind me to relax and take a DayOff. ;) ;)
I would never be lonely.  Don would be there, too. He wouldn't be lonely either.  I would help him live a full and happy life. This post was edited by Merlin at May 16, 2020 11:32 PM MDT

Everywhere includes women.  Man wouldn't exist without them.  You need two to tango.
They never will be lonely as long as there are two.  Not necessarily a  man and women but together, with the land, two can and will be happy! Happy!
Helping each other and touching is what is important. Feel the Earth.  Feel each other.  Neither bite when done with passion and from the heart. This post was edited by Merlin at May 16, 2020 5:51 PM MDT
