What are some reasons you have not wanted to let someone know when your birthday* is?

*Not the actual date you were born, not your age, just the day of the year on which your birthday falls.

    1) Privacy/fear of identity theft
    2) Religion prevents celebration of birthdays
    3) Don't want people making a big deal of it/don't want to be reminded

Identity theft.   But actually, the day I recognized and accepted the Lord as my savior is the day life really began for me.  This post was edited by . at August 1, 2020 11:25 PM MDT

         Am never celebrating my birthday,
just another day. It comes and passes
    without me noticing sometimes.
Don't even think it is my real birthdate,
just something they guessed at when they found me
    in a cardboard box
Really don't like to be reminded of it
nor wish to draw any attention from people
    wanting to celebrate it...haha

I don't want anyone to feel obligated to do anything about it. It's not a big deal to me, although I do appreciate it when someone remembers it on their own.

Not enjoying having to be polite over unwanted gifts,
not enjoying the hard work and expenses of hospitality and cleaning up afterwards.

I really don't care if people know. Only a few ever remember it. My mother even forgot. My wife forgot a few times. My kids don't remember. Nobody in my family cares about b-days.

    14 November, 1951.

Now everyone here knows. No cards please, just send money.

I don't think I've ever purposely not told someone that legitimately asked for my birthday, but I actually really don't like celebrating it for personal reasons is all. This post was edited by Nightwolf5 at August 2, 2020 7:45 AM MDT

Thanks. Spell check came up, and that's what it gave me, however that's not what I wanted either. But thank you. I will edit that now :)

28th May. I didn't want people knowing in adolescence, when on your birthday you receive one arm punch for each year from everybody.
