    A quick scan of the research found that although some divers have been trapped, drowned, and presumably digested, the incidence is extremely rare.
    Apparently professional divers (fishermen) in the Philippines think the chance of getting caught in a clam is "about the same as accidentally falling out of a jail-house window".

    It has actually cleaned the western end of Lake Erie. The sunlight can reach deeper enabling better plant growth and feeding grounds for the fish.
