Early in the lock-down you could almost walk along the main road near my home, and for about 3 or 4 weeks I did not need to use the pedestrian-controlled lights to cross it. If a vehicle was approaching I would wait for it to pass rather than stop it unnecessarily - the delay to me was no different to that given by the lights, and unimportant anyway.
Now the traffic volume looks back to normal, or not far off.
