It’s been a couple of weeks or so, but I’ve had to do it at least a dozen times over the years.

    Ha!!  :)

    I didn't answer it.

It even took me a while to locate it after hearing it ! Ha! I thought for a few seconds, "From where is the ringing coming ?" Ha!

Welby, someone is calling you on your cellphone, log off of here and go answer it, Buddy.

    Yikes! Creepy!
    :)

Hey, I just thought of a line from a movie that TERRIFIED  me.  I went to see it with a bunch of school friends -- do you know the movie? Don't read on if you don't want a movie, which you may not have seen, spoiled; this line, when heard in the movie, is terrifying to me --

PLOT SPOILER!!! to an un-named movie!

"We've traced the calls and they're coming from inside the house."

Lol, I know the movie, saw it a zillion years ago when it first came out or in the years afterward.

    Excellent!!
    :)

I think the movie's been remade, maybe. But Carol Kane was in the original one that really scared me. I like her as an actress. And the movie really scared me and I loved it. My friends were merciless in their kidding of me and my fright of the movie. Ha!

Behind me on the wall at my place, as I sit here, is a large original movie poster of the movie! Matted and framed!

From your exact date answer, I'm now wondering if you may have looked up your phone call records to see when was the last time you called yourself. ha!

No. It was my wife who called my phone. I couldn't have called myself because we don't have a landline. I remembered the date because I'm kicking back in my new leather rocker-recliner we had delivered that day, and it was just after the delivery that I missed my phone.

    Nice!
I LOVE stories like that, this one you just shared -- the fact that you remember certain details of a story and those details are what make you remember everything. (If that makes any sense, ha!)

It was two hours ago.  I had to have my husband call it so I could hear it ringing but took a while for me to find it.  lol, he had to call it twice because I couldn't find it before it went to voicemail the first time.

Yeah! My phone is sometimes almost like a ventriloquist voice trick  - - I sometimes have to stand still and figure out exactly from where the sound is coming!

  • It has been quite a long time. i would say at least a year. I know I have done it before but any details beyond that are hazy.

No worries on the details. I'm just sort of comforted knowing you and others have resorted to it sometimes. :)

Not lately, but I have to call the tablet at least once a week.

    I'm Tabletless.

Like "Tabletless Stevens," Darrin's and Samantha's daughter on "Bewitched" TV show ('Tabitha Stevens'). I don't know why she entered my mind. It's not even close to being an effective pun, I know. :)

Same principle, though, I'd think, with the phone and tablet. :)

I only take my phone out of my pocketbook when I want to make a call, which is not that often, then I put it right back there, so it doesn't get lost. :)
