Oh, my. This song stuns me. Every time, I just sit and listen. And send my best to everyone involved.

    Key & Peele are great!

There's a video game, released in 2013, that popularised some 30 chanteys or shanties -- although its early 18th-century setting must have been anachronical for a number of the songs.

I do too, but frankly don't know which singer it is, among Nils Brown, Sean Dagher, Michiel Schrey and Clayton Kennedy.

Neither would I, haha; that's just the group hired to sing for that video game.

    That makes sense. :)

I listened to it twice. I like it. I'd end up just listening to the music and then stink at the game.

Nope, I will not. Yo, ho, ho and a bottle of rum.

The  couple of songs I somewhat vaguely remember from my time in the Navy would have to be redirected to adult section.
    The cabin boy and
    The good ship Venus.

I've heard some songs by them that I've liked. I can't remember any of the titles, though. :)
This is a sweet-sounding one to me. This post was edited by WelbyQuentin at September 7, 2020 5:24 AM MDT

Here are a couple I've sang in competition - one isn't even about the sea or sailing, but it's still considered a chantey.

I'll take Oscar Brand's rendition over all others.
