It’s served me well overall, of course there have been some hiccups along the way, but few and far between. You should take a ride with me and find out.

    (I know, I know; you’re good.)

Did you mean to type that out loud? "It's served me well overall"?

    Lol!

Yes. I mean that the one-track mind has served me well. What did you think I meant?

    Very good.

Your conscience is none of my business.

What’s a conscience?  Is it anything like that “feelings” word that people keep throwing at me?  I’ve never heard of either one of them.

    The Grand illusion?
    Yes...because we don't realize
what is on the other side of our thoughts
    and the ego.
When thoughts cease and the ego disappears
    the grand illusion will disappear,
and the Soul awareness that emerges
will fill your heart with such joy
    that could never be imagined.
The only thing that keeps us from this experience
is our attachment to our thoughts and our ego.
We solidify the illusion and make it as solid as concrete.
Loosen the attachments and let the ego dissipate
and the light beyond the illusion shines.
All of the great Spiritual Masters that have ever been
have showed us and taught us the truth in this life.
They have opened our awareness and have given us
the experience to understand the depths of consciousness.
The great teacher Jesus actually showed us
what it is all about when he transcended his physical existence.
Be still and enlightenment will follow.
All of the great Masters have taught Meditation
as the door to open to transcend the Grand Illusion.

That seems so difficult to follow through; I could never accomplish so much self discipline.

I presume you're saying that all that remains is love, (to put it simply or generically)?

The thoughts always prove to be hard for me to let go. More meditation will help, I know.

Thank you. I never expected such thoughtful and sincere replies.

FYI:  this is a sample of music that says everything will be alright, without the lyrics.    With the lyrics, I send it to my honey,  :   )  Slow dance with me.

Interesting. Not something I'm familiar with. Thank you.

I like this choice for 'everything will be alright' music:

hahaha that is good.  I mean music that makes you "feel" like everything will be ok.  Like you are driving down highway 1 with the top down and wonderful music is playing and your hair is slightly blowing in the breeze.  Then you get to the Sunset Blvd turn off and stop for a coffee.  hahaha silly?

Absolutely, I know what you mean! That location wouldn't be something I'd choose based on the number of people likely to be around interfering with my enjoyment, but I know what you mean.

Here's a perfect one for this category. For JA!

Afros don’t blow in the breeze.

Reported for having hair that Randy D doesn’t have.

Nah---I think reality is called that for a reason.

Some blurred lines there, don't you think?

For those who have not yet realized that truth exists and is the proper object of study, I can see how they might think that the lines appeared blurred.

Formal study leads to intellectual vision correction---I recommend it.

No I don't believe that and I don't believe that deep down we're all the same. I figure it can be unproductive and dangerous to think life is a grand illusion because deep down we're all the same. We're not all the same we are good  or bad or ugly (pulling wings off bugs and raping kids kind of ugly). There is a Moody Blues song that ends with - cold hearted orb that rules the night - removes the colors from our sight. Red is  grey and yellow is white but we decide which is right and which is an illusion. Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at October 11, 2020 5:45 PM MDT

I think we're more alike than different, for the most part. I know there are those more full of bad/ugly than most of us, but in general, most of us have the same basic needs, wishes, desires, fears, etc. Each of us have different paths along this journey, full of varying obstacles and assistance. Those, combined with our genetic predispositions and conscious and unconscious decisions, create who we become in this existence, and perhaps in others.

    Cheers to you, Nanoose!
